What is the Abbe value of Resolution?
Abbe value is the same for all poly. It was thought for many years that the abbe accounted for the patient complaints regarding optical quality related to poly as there were no other variable that could be adjusted until our process of removing the stress/distortion that caused the birefringence. This technology “discovery” resulted in the elimination of patient complaints. The normal Trivex is 1.53 index and thus Resolution at 1.598/1.60 is thinner.
Is there a warranty on the Complete Eyewear frames?
Complete Eyewear has a limited 1 year warranty against manufacturer defects. See Terms and Conditions for other details.
What happens if a frame breaks and the Rx is still good? Can frames be reordered individual or is the complete job replaced?
Frames can be reordered and replaced if manufacturers defect at no charge.There is a non-manufacturing replacement $6 charge for frame and $13 for overnight shipping. Ideally, the frame can be replaced out of the kit and then the frame can be reordered with reduced shipping.
How many times can lenses be replaced under the PAL AR 24 month warranty?
One time – at this cost any warranty is a bargain since most high end AR coatings like PFO’s don’t have an issue with scratches.
How are non-adapts handled?
Non-adapts must be returned within 60 days. If non-adapt occurs credit will be given for the original order. Replacement lenses will be billed at regular prices. Special circumstances can be worked out through IECP.
Are frame styles updated periodically?
Yes but the parameters for how often and what frames has not been determined yet.
How are obsolete or discontinued frames handled?
Discontinued frames are not returned to PFO. Offices will be notified when frames are discontinued. PFO should have inventory available for replacement on discontinued frames. PFO will survey some offices from time to time to make decisions about what styles are added to the collection.
Will we be able to offer staff webinars to train on lens design?
Yes! Contact us to schedule a time for training for your staff.
Are these frames loaded in Frame Facts or Frame Data?
Not at this time – Frames Data listing adds cost to frames and we are trying to bring a great value at a great price for this pilot program.
What are shipping costs?
Per job, per order $8 per shipment Fed Ex 2 day. PFO can schedule shipping on a particular day to save costs. Overnight shipping is $13.
Who pays shipping on incorrect orders?
Lab errors are covered by PFO / VCD Labs. Errors by the doctor’s office are paid by the doctor.
